SONNY'S AT THE CURTIN KITCHEN

Weird times, hey? You've probably heard your local live music pubs are doing it tough.

Cancelled gigs, closed bars, massive rents due & no certainty around when we can reopen.

Here at the pub, we are doing everything we can to weather this shitstorm but we are gonna need your support. Pledge a pint and save the pub! Simply buy a delicious pint, organise a comeback party or send a pint to a mate & redeem it when we are back in action folks!

Pledges to "Bring The Crew" and above will appear on an honour board in the public bar.

We’re all in this together!

POSTPONED ~ NEW DATE TBA

MID CITY 'Forget It' TOUR

w/ guests

This show is POSTPONED due to the Coronavirus. We will announce a new date as soon as we can Crashing onto the Australian and German music scenes in late 2018, the Melbourne based four-piece Mid City are back with their blistering breakup anthem “Forget It”. Inspired by a romantic rupture that ended on very bad terms, the quartet are rapidly building a name for themselves-crafting candid, heart-felt narratives with their hearts on their sleeves. Recorded with Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Alex Lahey, Ali Barter), “Forget It” is a devilish musical experimentation-soaked with feverish guitar rhythms, earth-shattering soundscapes and a chorus we dare you to forget.

w/ GoDogGo + Wurli

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Franjapan are a pop-rock quintet, formed in the music rooms of a shared high school. Their first offering since 2018, ’The Story Of…’ marks a return to form for Franjapan, whose 2018 saw them develop a sonic maturity while road testing their newest creations. Released independently, the 5 track EP which includes single Backlit Luminous Glow, will be the first of a string of releases in 2020 which will see the band gain further inroads to the Melbourne music landscape.

CLUTCHING AT STRAWS

COMMEDIA DELL'ONGBLACK

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Clutching at Straws is a farsical, Melbourne-based mystery with all the elements of a neo film noir. There’s a Private Investigator, a Femme Fatale and a murder. When Levi Denym is found dead in his office at multi-billion dollar ’Plastque Free’ empire, Bernard is suspicious and launches into an investigation that will require more than one whisky sour and multiple loaves of artisinal kalamata sourdough.

Written and performed by Tess Branchflower, Adam Canny and Declan Carter, who share a love of dry wit, puns and a good Sangiovese. They also share a hatred for plastic and humans with a lack of spatial awareness.
